Thai Beef Salad
Ingredients
Marinade
- 450g rump steak (or other steak of choice)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
Salad
- lettuce leaves
- 1/3 cup mint leaves
- 1/3 cup basil leaves
- 1/4 cup coriander leaves
- 1 cucumber, sliced
Dressing
- 2 red chilles, chopped
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 teaspoons palm sugar
- 2 kaffir lime leaves, shredded
Method
- Place steak, soy sauce, garlic and lime juice in a bowl and allow to stand for 10 minutes.
- Cook steak on a preheated hot char grill for 1-2 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking. Cover steak and set aside to rest.
- Arrange lettuce, mint, basil, coriander and cucumber on serving plates. Slice beef thinly against the grain and place on top of salad.
- To make dressing, combine chillies, soy sauce, lime juice, palm sugar and lime leaves.
- Pour dressing over salad and serve.
