Now delivering to Corangamite and Colac

Wednesday 18th September, 2013

Corangamite and Colac district residents can now enjoy free range beef, lamb, chicken and pork delivered direct to their door after local company Koallah Farm expanded its service.

Koallah Farm, which operates from just outside Camperdown, already services more than 3000 registered online customers throughout the Melbourne, Geelong and Ballarat areas.

The company owns and operates two Simply Free Range butcher shops in Mt Waverley and Rosanna, in addition to the home delivery service. From this week, the delivery service will also trade as Simply Free Range, bringing all Koallah Farm's retail arms under the one brand.

Managing Director Steven Castle said he was pleased that after four years establishing a customer-base in larger centres, the company was now in a position to roll out its Simply Free Range online shop and home delivery service to locals.

"It has been critical for us to establish ourselves throughout Melbourne and other regional cities and now it's great we're in a position to service the local community as well" he said.

Mr Castle said moving the online shop and home delivery service to the Simply Free Range brand was a natural progression as part of an expanded product offering.

"Initially we only retailed free range, grass fed beef and lamb that we grew at Koallah Farm or sourced from other local farmers who practice traditional, sustainable farming," he said.

"We have since identified free range pork and chicken suppliers and have been able expand our range to over 100 products - all of which are 100 per cent natural with no added hormones and no antibiotics.

"Our Simply Free Range motto is ‘meat, the way nature intended' and in a nutshell that's what we stand for."

Mr Castle said the company delivered across Melbourne, Geelong and Ballarat every Thursday and Saturday and would deliver to Corangamite and district on Wednesdays and Saturdays. He said Colac and district residents would be able to choose to receive their orders on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

He said he was confident there was a local market for beef, lamb chicken and pork that was grown in a free range environment.

"We're passionate about traditional, sustainable farming practices and the benefits respectful animal husbandry delivers to consumers," he said.

"In addition to the superior taste of free range meat and the improved conditions for free range animals, there is growing evidence of the health benefits of eating products from pastured animals."

Mr Castle said all the home deliveries were prepared and packed by Camperdown butchers Simon Baker and Robert Fields who worked full-time in the boning room and packing facility at Koallah Farm.

To make and order and have it delivered free to your door, all you have to do is visit create an account and start shopping.

For Wednesday deliveries, locals can choose either a delivery during work hours, or an evening delivery. Saturday deliveries will occur in the mornings.
